- Bobby C was born Robert Austen Cresswell in Brooklyn, New York during what must have been a wonderful "Artsy" night in 1946. His mother was Itallian/American and his father was from Coney Island and, God forbid, not Itallian. Soon after marriage and Bobby C's birth, it seemed a wise decision for the Italian girl and the guy from Coney Island to get out of town. Bobby C. was raised in California, France, England and Savannah, Georgia. After attending college and graduate school in Georgia, Bobby C worked in education for the Georgia Public School System. He retired in 2008 after 40 years of service, 32 of them as a high school principal... Yes, he is a saint! Bobby C then looked far and wide for a medium that would alow him to express his creativity and his need to utilize his "outside the box" mental processing... hence he began putting colors on canvas, and gave himself the pen name "Bobby C". He thinks of himself as a colorist, using vibrant, bright colors on canvas as his form of expression. Bobby C. hopes you enjoy viewing his paintings as much as he enjoys creating them!!!
